September 2024 Update
Sep 23, 2024Hi there!
It's been some time since I provided an update on what's coming next at JK Math, so I thought I'd take the time today to do just that.
First of all, thank you so much for all the support and kind feedback in the recent weeks and months. In the past 5 months the channel has seen significant growth (most metrics have doubled!) and has been able to reach and help so many more students than I could have ever imagined when I started almost 3 years ago! Keep the questions and feedback coming, I read every single comment and take them to heart.
On a similar note, I do get a lot of suggestions for math courses to cover. I want you to know that I do see and appreciate these suggestions. From Linear Algebra, to Differential Equations, to Statistics & Probability (actuarial Exam P), and so on... they are all great suggestions and courses I do plan on covering one day. However, I am only one person, so I can only really focus on one thing at a time.
Which brings me to the focus of this update... what's next now that the FM review videos are completed?
Well, I will finally be returning to creating new lesson and examples videos for Calculus 3! I recently put out a poll on Youtube about what math course you were taking this fall semester, and I was really surprised by the results. Of over 260 votes, 34% said Calculus 3. So clearly, more videos for this course has been long overdue.
I have already started production on the next couple videos for Calc 3. The plan is to return to a regular schedule of 1 new lesson and examples video each week as soon as possible. But, I will need a little bit more time to get back into the groove of things. As such, I expect it will be until early October that the first new videos will release. But once this schedule is in place I intend to keep it going until the end of the year.
By the way if you didn't know, Calculus 3 is my favorite math course, so I am quite excited to get things rolling again! Thank you for your patience as you wait for these videos to come.
In the meantime, here's a sneak peak at the thumbnails for the next lesson and examples video:
As a side note, I recently took the time to do a rough roadmap of Calculus 3 topics to cover, and it's currently looking to be a total of over 80 lessons. So, needless to say I'll be making Calculus 3 videos for quite some time. Its a big course, but I'm committed to covering all of it. Even 18 lessons in, the first unit of Calc 3 isn't completed! Once again, thank you so much for your continued patience as I work to make these videos.
As a reminder, the best way to support the work I do (other than watching the tutorials!) is to either join my membership site JK Math+ (bonus content & more) or my Patreon (general support, no bonuses). Please do not feel obligated to join anything, but this kind of support is greatly appreciated!
That's all for this update!
Until next time,
-Josh
